We are looking for a
Technical Coordinator
EnergyLab is seeking an enthusiastic, organised, flexible and adaptable Technical Coordinator eager to provide technical expertise and advice in the clean energy, agriculture, aquaculture, fisheries sector to shape EnergyLab's programs. You will actively engage and build relationships with stakeholders in these sectors in Cambodia and find opportunities to create synergies with EnergyLab programs.

Contract: Full Time (40 hours), ongoing contract (including 3-month probation)

Responsibilities and Duties
Support EnergyLab Incubation and Entrepreneurship Programs
● Support startups and our mentors in the incubation program to assess technical viability of business ideas, concepts, prototypes and products.
● Support EnergyLab team to build a pool of companies working in clean energy, agriculture, aquaculture and fisheries sectors and maintain an ongoing relationship with them. Create mutually beneficial opportunities.
● Engage in all technical aspects of the Switch to Solar Program to transfer learnings to our entrepreneur teams, potential entrepreneurs and Incubation partners.
● Build a pool of mentors and an understanding of how they can support our work around innovation and entrepreneurship
● Work with the Program Manager and Coordinator to design program content including hackathon challenges, webinar/event content
● Keep updated with startups, technology and trends in the agriculture, fishery and energy sectors both in Cambodia and globally

Support advocacy, engagement and outreach activities including Clean Energy Week
● Train EnergyLab staff, alumni and volunteers to be able to present confidently on clean energy and the benefits to Cambodia
● Design and deliver technical presentations for events and meetings including during Clean Energy Week
● Build strong networks with stakeholders in the clean energy sector. Scope and propose potential partnerships
● Support the release of bi-monthly newsletter to share opinions and update people on relevant EnergyLab, stakeholder, international/regional progress as it relates to clean energy
● Support energy sector content development for EnergyLab programs including the Young Professionals Fellowship and ongoing advocacy work

Participate in, support and coordinate other Energylab programs as necessary.
Requirements
● University Degree (or equivalent) in engineering, agriculture, rural development, education, economics, business, or management
● 3-5 years or more work experience in agriculture, fisheries and/or energy sector
● ability to assess technology or products from technical and broad economic concepts (eg technology required, investment cost and payback)
● Proven ability to work to deadlines and work under pressure
● Excellent written and oral communication in English and Khmer
● Full proficiency in Microsoft suite and online tools.
● Experience in supporting or writing activity reports and managing budgets
● Experience working with stakeholders and strengthening partnerships
● Able to work in a full-time job (Monday-Friday) and available for weekend events

● Enjoys leading and working with workshop participants from a wide range of background and skills level to ensure the events are engaging, positive, and valuable to the participants.
