We are looking for a
Startup Program Manager
Overall Role: Manage EnergyLab Switch to Solar Startup Program to ensure it runs smoothly and achieve its objective.

Report to: Country Manager.

Type of Employment Contract: Full Time (40 hours), until April 2024. Requires 18 weekend days and 8 half weekend days per year.

Responsibilities and Duties
Manage EnergyLab Incubation and Entrepreneurship Program:
  • Lead and manage the EnergyLab SWITCH to Solar startup program – including managing the design, implementation, evaluation and reporting for the program – hackathons, pre-incubation, incubation.
  • Continuously track and learn about SMEs, new businesses in clean energy, agriculture, fishery, aquaculture sectors to support the program.
  • Maintain excellent communication and collaboration with program mentors, partners and funders
  • Manage program staff to ensure the overall success of the programs/projects and efficient and effective day to day running of the program
  • Manage program Partners and Funders to ensure they are always satisfied with EnergyLab's contribution to the program
  • Manage contractors engaged to support the program to ensure they deliver high quality work within expected budget and timeframe and lead procurement
  • Help build a pool of mentors to support the teams and future teams. Lead the mentoring and support for all participating teams and startups in the program
Program Reporting, Budgeting and Financial Reporting:
  • Ensure EnergyLab meets all targets and outputs stated in our program agreement.
  • Conduct monitoring and evaluation of projects for internal improvement and donor requirements
  • Review and finalise program/project reports to meet deadlines and requirements per agreements with donors
  • Work with Finance and Admin Coordinator to manage program budget control and budget revisions and financial reports
  • Support External Audit process if necessary.
  • Participate in, support and co-ordinate other EnergyLab programs as necessary.
Qualifications, Experience and Skills
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in agri-fishery value chains and enthusiasm to support enterprises in Cambodia
  • University Degree (or equivalent) in agriculture, rural development, engineering, education, economics, business, law, IR or management
  • 5 years or more work experience in program management
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, people and time management skills;
  • Proven ability to work to deadlines and work under pressure
  • Experience working with stakeholders and strengthening partnerships
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English and Khmer
  • Full proficiency in Microsoft suite and online tools.
  • Experience in managing budgets and reporting requirements
  • Able to work in a full-time job (Monday-Friday) and available for weekend events

  • Enjoys leading and working with workshop participants from a wide range of background and skills level to ensure the events are engaging, positive, and valuable to the participants.
