EnergyLab participated with UNYAP to support Youth Leadership in Clean Energy

Empowering Youth, Energising Change!
Last week, EnergyLab was pleased to participate in the United Nations Youth Advisory Panel (UNYAP) gathering at Raintree Phnom Penh. For 17 years, UNYAP has been amplifying youth voices across Cambodia, creating powerful platforms for young leaders addressing our most pressing challenges.
Our communications officer Kimeang Sok, herself an active UNYAP member, got the wonderful chance to connect with diverse youth representatives and delegates from many different organisations, such as, the United Nations in Cambodia, UN Population Fund, and UNICEF Cambodia. During this inspiring event, Kimeang was recognised for her contributions to sustainable development initiatives as an UNYAP member, particularly in her work accelerating clean energy transition.
The gathering bridged generations of change-makers, highlighting the essential role of youth perspectives in sustainable development. As Cambodia confronts growing climate challenges, UNYAP’s cross-sector collaborations are creating vital pathways for innovative solutions driven by young voices.
EnergyLab’s mission to accelerate clean energy adoption aligns perfectly with these youth networks. Together, we’re building momentum that will transform Cambodia’s future while meeting our SDG commitments. We’re grateful for these new connections and excited to channel this collaborative energy into actionable clean energy initiatives!
