Clean Energy Fellowship Cambodia 2026 - Session 1 - Cohort 1

EnergyLab Asia is building the next generation of clean energy leaders — and it starts now.

On March 21, we launched the Clean Energy Fellowship (CEF) 2026 and welcomed 18 exceptional fellows into Cohort 1 — driven professionals from government, civil society, academia, development partners, and the private sector, ready to lead Cambodia's clean energy transition.

In Session 1, fellows didn't just learn — they challenged assumptions, interrogated trade-offs, and confronted the real complexities sitting at the intersection of climate change and Cambodia's energy system. From energy security to affordability to economic growth, they debated what it truly takes to transition a nation.

”Today’s session deepened my understanding of the topic and introduced new perspectives. It challenged me to think more critically and consider how these ideas apply in real-world contexts. The interactive discussions made the learning engaging and strengthened both my knowledge and confidence.." — GiLeang Mao CEF26 Fellow Cohort 1

This is 1 of 14 sessions designed to sharpen critical thinking, deepen expertise, and activate leadership — equipping fellows to drive real change in Cambodia's energy future.

And we're not stopping there. For the first time, EnergyLab Asia is running two CEF cohorts in 2026 — doubling our impact and expanding access to more emerging leaders across the country.

Cohort 2 launches March 28. The momentum is building.

We thank our partners Clean Break Fund and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Cambodia for powering this mission forward.
