Clean Energy Fellowship Cambodia 2026 - Session 2 - Cohort 1

2026-05-13 15:29
The best clean energy leaders do not just understand the technology. They understand the full picture!

On April 4, both cohorts of Clean Energy Fellowship Cambodia 2026 came together for one of the most powerful sessions yet. Using Political Economy Analysis (PEA), 39 fellows went beyond technical knowledge and started exploring the deeper forces that shape how clean energy transitions actually unfold.

How do decisions get made in the energy sector? Who are the key stakeholders driving progress? What does it take to turn a great idea into lasting impact?

Fellows mapped out the landscape of influence, explored how different actors contribute to Cambodia's energy journey, and put their insights to the test in a mock trial where they stepped into real stakeholder roles and argued their case.

"There are more political insights to the simple things." — Chhet Thirith, CEF Fellow 2026

This session unlocked a critical truth: building a clean energy future takes more than the right technology. It takes people who can read the room, engage the right stakeholders, and turn vision into action.

That is the kind of leader Clean Energy Fellowship Cambodia 2026 is developing.

Thank you to our partners Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung Cambodia and Clean Break Fund for making these deep dives possible.
